The band concert schedule is completed. There are 21 shows this year compared to 26 shows last year with the same amount of money spent. The reduced number of shows is the result of the increased rates of the Cayugans and the Civic Band. The Civic Band will play four times for $500 per performance; the Cayugans will play three times for $880 per performance.
Bill Jacobs said that the opening of the State Street Mall will take place sometime around July 4th. There will be a band and party.
The summer movie schedule is set. The city will sponsor four movies and four movies will be sponsored privately. Four of the movies have already been selected. The dates of the movies have been selected but four of the movies have yet to be chosen. Jim Loperfido will be consulted for input.
The city ordered a portable stage, new for this year. It will be used for numerous occasions and will be stored at Casey Park
Brochures of all summer programs are currently being prepared. Skateboard rules and regs will stand alone.
The Road Rally will be held in May. On Saturday, a 40 mile race will take place on West Lake Road. On Sunday the race will be around the loop downtown. For additional information, contact Bill Jacobs.
Bill Jacobs also talked about bicycle racks downtown.
Vendors for food for movie nights are needed. The vendor will need both a health and a city permit. Each permit will cost $25. The sports boosters will be contacted.
